Great game! The bug occurs when both the slime and an item are moving towards the same tile.

Thanks for taking the time to report!  I thought I handled that edge case but apparently not. Unfortunately I think it may be one of multiple possible crashes, but this should help a lot :)

first time i died at lvl 6 second time i died at lvl 5.

oof i got worse.

buuuuuuuuuut i did trash a health potion.

edit: i did it on the third try. i. beat. the. game. really hope i am not connected to the lvl 10 boss.

Awesome game! Really cool concept and it works like a charm. And I love how it ties into the theme of 'the hero not being the hero'. Really nice job! 

It did freeze on me though. Just when I moved something around. I can still type this comment, so it seems to be the game, not the browser. Music is choppy now as well while frozen.

This game is really fun. the resource management is awesome and the gameplay doesn't feel t complicated at all. A very interesting concept and would like to something like this again. Slime/10

Lovely game! Almost too easy since I was able to complete the game on first try. Would love for it to have difficulty levels, so I could give it a try on Nightmare mode :D

My nightmares of inventory management became true. I really like the game idea.

Music is really relaxing and matches the puzzle + fantasy style.

SFX it is really fitting the low pixel art style.

I loved it ! It makes you think very quickly, lets you enough time to prepare for the next battle, and art is great !

Very nice! I agree with the other commenters on how there should be more time. I barely could organize my pile before it messed up again, and I definitely didn't have the time to make the gear swap to the right enemies. I feel like a better item movement control would be necessary, like being able to pull an item back. This would also fix my other issue of putting items on the edge accidentally and being forced to throw them out. Very good concept and very well executed for a jam though!

Thanks for the feedback :) I didn't want to add too much time in between battles since that would get really dull in the early stages. Maybe the time increases with the number of items you have? The pulling thing I'll have to try out at some point.

Really interesting game! A really fun take on resource management and good level of challenge trying to get the right things in the right place. Would love to see this idea taken further <3

Nice work as always Thoof! This one has some really nice resource/time management aspects to it, and I really like having to skirt things off the side.
OI think making the periods between fights longer might have a better game feel, and narrative would work as it takes longer to find worthy foes.
Also as the insert it a slime it would be interesting to have a mini matching game function where the slime can eat some of the gear and if the color or type match in a set of 3 then it makes a better items of that type or color, but this a really good game already.

That match 3 idea for crafting better equipment is a good one, I'll have to consider that. I was originally planning on having the slime able to destroy equipment but I ended up not putting it in due to needing additional controls.

Liked it, but randomly froze on level 4 zombie archer for me. Restarted and finished (barely), really fun. If you wanted to develop it further then some single-use "delete one tile" powerup would be super helpful!

Good job! Liked the gameplay remembered me of loop hero, and I love the art well made!

Really nice work! I wasn't sure what to think at first, but I was quickly hooked by the puzzle/RPG combo. I was afraid all the stats and combos would be overwhelming, but that also proved to be just right, balance-wise.

The art is all top notch, as always! I especially liked the tiny "world view" with the hero and monsters.

I made it to the boss, but the game froze while battling him. I was attempting to switch gear when it happened. The music kept playing, but everything else stopped. I was playing the browser version. Not sure if any of that will be helpful for debugging or not. Here's screenshot of the moment:


Anyway, going to give it another play and hopefully beat the boss this time! Great game!
